This project involved a comprehensive refurbishment and reconfiguration of a lower ground floor bathroom in a domestic property on Lower Hanham Road, Bristol. The project transformed an outdated and poorly configured bathroom into a modern, functional, and stylish space.

The work began with a complete strip-out of the existing bathroom, including removal of all sanitary ware, floor and wall finishes, and associated fixtures. The layout was carefully reconfigured to maximise space and usability, involving the demolition of a block wall and the removal and blocking up of an existing window. All plumbing and electrical systems were fully reworked to accommodate the new design, including the installation of a humidistat-controlled extractor fan to improve ventilation and moisture management. Two brand-new windows were also installed to enhance natural light and air circulation.

Once the structural, plumbing, and electrical modifications were complete, the space was rebuilt to a high standard. This included new boarding and plastering of walls and ceilings, first and second fix plumbing, full electrical installation, and fitting of all new sanitary ware. Floor and wall tiling were meticulously applied, while new doors, frames, and architraves were installed. The project concluded with full decoration, leaving a bathroom that is both contemporary and practical.

This refurbishment demonstrates a careful balance of design and functionality, maximising the use of available space while ensuring high-quality finishes throughout. The result is a modern, welcoming bathroom that enhances the comfort and value of the property.
